Asthma is an inflammatory disease that affects the air passages that carry air from the nasal area and mouth to lungs and vice versa. Asthma is another disease that does not have a permanent cure, although, symptoms and adversity can be suppressed with treatments and procedures. 

When a person suffers from asthma, if a person finds it difficult to breathe in outside air and thus, feel suffocated and congested. It can occur in people of all age groups, from a 3 year old kid to a 60 years old man. Airways become swollen during asthma, muscles around them get tightened, which causes less air to flow to lungs. 

Asthma attack can occur when an irritant usually a common substance like smoke, cold or dry air, pollen or dust mites, it meets a set of temperamental lungs. Hormonal fluctuations, stress, and anger can also trigger an attack. Sometimes there’s no apparent cause. Your difficulty in breathing occurs because the bronchi, the tubes that allow oxygen into your lungs.

The exact cause of this disease is not known but it can be triggered by allergies, air pollution, respiratory infections, emotions, weather conditions, sulfites in food and certain medications. Common symptoms include coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath and chest tightness. There are so many medical treatments for asthma. Some simple natural remedies can also provide relief from symptoms.

1.Ginger is a very well-known natural treatment for various ailments including an asthma. Lots of people have found that it can help reduce airway inflammation and inhibit airway contraction.

2.Caffeine in regular coffee can help control asthma attacks because it acts as a bronchodilator. Hot coffee helps relax and clear the airways to help you to breathe easier. The stronger the coffee, the better the result.

3.Eucalyptus oil is an effective treatment for asthma symptoms because of its decongestant properties. Data indicates that it has a chemical called eucalyptus that can help break up mucus.

4.Mustard oil and mix camphor in it. Rub and massage with it all over the chest, till you get relief from the asthma. Make sure that you warm the oil before massaging with it so that your chest feels the warmth and gets relieved quickly.
